Plain disclosures
- No customer money is held. Payments go straight from the payer to Albert by X Money or PayPal. The portal only keeps records. It doesn't hold, pool or move anyone's money or crypto.
- Nothing is FDIC insured. There is no signed partner bank, no FBO account and no deposit account. If a licensed partner is ever signed, this page will say so.
- Customer money and operating money are on separate ledgers. The software refuses to book customer money at all until a licensed partner is signed, and refuses any real-money entry that crosses between ledgers.
- Sanctions and location checks run before a payment starts. Names are screened against the U.S. Treasury OFAC SDN and consolidated lists, refreshed from treasury.gov. Payments can't be started from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Crimea, Donetsk or Luhansk, or from an unknown location.
- Sign-in: passkeys (Face ID, fingerprint or device PIN), a password, or an albertlane.net ID. No sign-in codes are sent by text.
- Text messages: opt-in only, with three separate confirmations. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. Text sending isn't connected yet, so no texts are sent today.
- Records: financial and consent records are kept, never deleted, in write-once storage (17a-4-style, not certified). Accounts that lose their owner go into a read-only safe mode; nothing is deleted. See the retention policy.
- ISO 20022 and ERC-3643: payment-message and token software is built and tested privately. Nothing is connected to a bank or broadcast to any blockchain.
